SECONDHAND SADDLE TRIAL
How it works
Saddle Condition & Inspection
All secondhand saddles, including ex-demo and those 'for sale on behalf', are carefully inspected for:
- Stitching and girthing integrity
- Leather quality and condition
- Gullet plate & rivets
We provide detailed descriptions of each saddle, showing wear, tear, and any noticeable damage to ensure full transparency.
The Saddle Trial Process
- Saddle Fitting: We recommend getting the saddle checked by a professional saddle fitter during the trial.
- Trial Period: Your trial lasts for 7 days. If the saddle is unsuitable, you must notify us by day 7.
- Return: The saddle must be returned by day 8 using a return courier ticket we provide for $20.
- Final Confirmation: If we do not hear from you by day 8, the saddle is considered purchased.
Your Responsibility During the Trial
While on trial, you are responsible for maintaining the saddle’s condition. Here are tips to avoid damage:
- Keep it safe: When not in use, store the saddle away from animals or risky situations.
- Be cautious during use: Don't leave the saddle unattended when tacking up or removing it from your horse.
- Mount carefully: Avoid using spurs that might scrape or damage the leather.
- Protect the leather: Avoid using grip sprays, silicon jodhpurs, or stirrups with sharp treads.
- Storage: Store the saddle in a safe, dry place, away from pets or potential hazards.
Returning the Saddle
If the saddle is not suitable:
- Notify Us by day 7.
- Ship Back by day 8 using the return courier ticket provided.
- Refund Process: Upon receiving and inspecting the saddle, any refund will be processed within 24 hours (refunds cover the purchase price only, excluding postage).
Note: Saddles must be returned in the same condition they were sent. Any damage incurred during the trial may result in a deduction from your refund based on the severity.
Damage Costs During Trial
If damage occurs, the following costs may apply:
- Minor cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches): $50-$100
- Major damage (e.g., structural damage to the leather): $1500 or more
