About the Erreplus Freestyle
The Erreplus Freestyle is a premium mono flap dressage saddle designed for riders seeking superior contact and connection with their horse. Developed in collaboration with European dressage champions, this saddle combines Italian craftsmanship with innovative design to deliver exceptional performance and comfort for both horse and rider.
Saddle Type & Design
This is a dressage saddle featuring a mono flap design, which provides closer contact with the horse's side compared to traditional double flap saddles. The Freestyle is ideal for riders who prioritize feel and communication with their horse during dressage work. The saddle features a comfortable, uniquely shaped seat available in deep or open configurations, allowing riders to choose based on their preferred riding position.
Suitability for Different Horse Types
Best Suited For:
Horses with Normal/Medium Withers: The Classic Dressage tree with a 33 gullet width works well for horses with well-defined, moderate withers that blend smoothly into a well-muscled back. This is the ideal conformation for this saddle model.
Horses with Curved Backs: The Freestyle's design accommodates horses with average curved backs and good muscle development, providing balanced support across the back.
Horses with Moderate Width: The 33 gullet width is suitable for horses with medium body width, offering good stability and weight distribution.
May Not Be Ideal For:
Horses with very high, sharply defined withers (may require a narrower gullet width)
Horses with low/mutton withers and very wide, flat backs (saddle stability may be compromised)
Horses with significantly downhill conformation
Key Benefits & Features
Double-Layer Bull Leather: Erreplus's exclusive doubled bull leather provides a soft, grippy surface that ensures excellent leg contact while maintaining durability over time.
Dual-Density Knee Blocks: Available in two versions (inclined or vertical), these blocks offer both comfort and support tailored to your riding style and leg position preference.
Shock-Absorbing Comfort Seat: The seat is layered with high shock-absorption polyurethane, creating an exceptionally soft and enveloping riding experience.
SL (Free Shoulder) Technology: Standard panels with Shoulder Liberty design allow for greater freedom of movement and reduced shoulder restriction.
Lightweight Synthetic Tree: The fully adjustable tree can be customized to fit a range of horse types, from narrow to wide.
Professional Craftsmanship: Made in Italy by Erreplus, a brand trusted by international dressage champions.
Important Note: Saddle fitting is crucial. While the Erreplus Freestyle is designed for horses with normal to medium withers and curved backs, it's always recommended to have a professional saddle fitter assess both the horse and rider to ensure the best possible fit and comfort.
5 | Brand New: Pristine condition, often with tags still attached. Showroom quality with zero wear.
4 | Very good: Lightly used with minimal signs of wear (like faint stirrup leather marks). The leather is supple, the tree is sound, and it has been exceptionally well cared for.
3 | Good: Showing standard, normal signs of regular use. May have cosmetic scuffs, moderate stirrup leather wear, or slight discoloration, but it is entirely structurally sound and ready to ride.
2 | Fair: Well-loved with noticeable wear. May have deeper scratches, heavier leather fading, or minor cosmetic blemishes, but the tree and safety components are completely intact. A great budget-friendly, functional option.
1 | As-Is / TLC Needed: Heavy wear or significant cosmetic damage. May need minor repairs (like flocking, a new billet, or stitching) before hitting the trails. Still functional, but priced accordingly.
