The Harry Dabbs Future GP is a versatile general-purpose saddle designed for riders who enjoy varied riding disciplines. This saddle combines the best features of both jump and dressage saddles, making it an excellent choice for riders transitioning between disciplines or those seeking a single saddle for multiple activities.
Suitability
Warmbloods & Sport Horses:Stronger, wider-framed horses that need shoulder clearance but have a slight rise in the back.
Irish Sport Horses (ISH) & Crosses:Horses with good bone, broad ribs, and a slight topline slope rather than a tabletop-flat back.
Uphill / Rising Toplines:Horses whose backs gradually slope upwards from behind the wither toward the last rib and croup.
Medium-to-Low Withers:Horses with broader shoulder bases and moderate withers that need an open arch rather than a high, narrow cut-back wither.
Key Benefits
Innovative Future Panel Design: The panel at the front of the saddle has been cut away to sit comfortably behind the shoulder, enabling unrestricted shoulder movement and improved performance
Open Head & Spacious Gullet: Provides optimum spinal clearance and prevents pressure points
Soft Seat: Offers comfort for extended riding sessions across multiple disciplines
Supportive Knee Pads: LB57 knee blocks and LB91 calf block on Velcro provide stability and security for both jumping and flatwork
Interchangeable width (Treeclix): Allows for adjustability to accommodate different horse shapes and sizes
Important Note: Saddle fitting is crucial. While a saddle model may be designed for a specific horse type, it's always recommended to have a professional saddle fitter assess both the horse and rider to ensure the best possible fit.
5 | Brand New: Pristine condition, often with tags still attached. Showroom quality with zero wear.
4 | Very good: Lightly used with minimal signs of wear (like faint stirrup leather marks). The leather is supple, the tree is sound, and it has been exceptionally well cared for.
3 | Good: Showing standard, normal signs of regular use. May have cosmetic scuffs, moderate stirrup leather wear, or slight discoloration, but it is entirely structurally sound and ready to ride.
2 | Fair: Well-loved with noticeable wear. May have deeper scratches, heavier leather fading, or minor cosmetic blemishes, but the tree and safety components are completely intact. A great budget-friendly, functional option.
1 | As-Is / TLC Needed: Heavy wear or significant cosmetic damage. May need minor repairs (like flocking, a new billet, or stitching) before hitting the trails. Still functional, but priced accordingly.
