Suitability/About

The Kent & Masters Pony Long Leg is a versatile general purpose saddle specifically designed for ponies with short, flat backs. This saddle features a forward-cut flap that makes it an excellent choice for leggy teenagers or petite adults riding ponies or shorter-coupled horses.

This saddle is particularly well-suited for ponies with low to medium withers and flat back conformations. The XXW (Extra Extra Wide) tree width makes it ideal for broader, well-muscled ponies where the muscle is built up on either side of the spine. The interchangeable S-Bar gullet system allows for adjustments to accommodate ponies with varying wither heights and back shapes as they develop.

Key Benefits

  • Forward-cut flap: Accommodates longer legs of teenagers and adults
  • Changeable gullet system: S-Bar technology allows width adjustments from medium to low wither fits
  • Four girthing options: Ensures optimal saddle stability on various pony conformations
  • Velcro knee block: Positioned under the flap to suit different leg lengths and riding positions
  • Premium wool flocking: 100% British wool from Jacob Sheep provides superior comfort and moulds to the pony's back
  • Handcrafted quality: Made in Walsall, England by qualified Master Saddlers using traditional techniques

Important Note: Saddle fitting is crucial. While a saddle model may be designed for a specific horse type, it's always recommended to have a professional saddle fitter assess both the horse and rider to ensure the best possible fit.
