The Kent & Masters S-Series Universal GP is a versatile general-purpose saddle designed for riders who prefer a wider, flatter seat with more room. This model is an excellent alternative to the Compact GP and suits a variety of riding disciplines including jumping, cross-country, and everyday riding.
Suitability for Horse Conformation
This saddle is specifically designed with a High Wither tree, making it ideal for horses with:
High, well-defined withers – The high wither gusset option provides excellent clearance and prevents pressure on the wither
Roofy or A-framed back profiles – Horses with a spine that is the highest point of the back, sloping down sharply to the ribs (common in Thoroughbreds)
Narrower body shapes – The high wither design accommodates horses with less width through the barrel
Excellent clearance for horses with prominent withers, ensuring the saddle sits properly without pinching or creating pressure points.

The Universal GP's wider, flatter seat is perfect for riders who prefer more room in the seat or are slightly wider in the hips. The adjustable knee blocks and ghosted stitching on the knee pad ensure a comfortable, customized fit for various leg lengths and riding styles.
Important Note: Saddle fitting is crucial. While this saddle model is designed for high-withered horses with roofy back profiles, it's always recommended to have a professional saddle fitter assess both the horse and rider to ensure the best possible fit and comfort.
