Suitability

The Stubben Roxanne Jump is a versatile saddle, but its design and adjustability make it particularly well-suited for:
Horses with Defined Withers and a Medium to Curved Back: The Stubben tree and its broad, supportive panels work well for horses with clear wither definition and a medium, slightly curved back profile. The adjustable tree allows for a great deal of customization in the wither area.

Horses Needing Good Spinal and Shoulder Freedom: The wide gullet channel and large, direct contact panels are specifically designed to provide ample clearance for the horse's spine and encourage freedom of movement in the shoulders, which is essential for jumping.

Horses of Standard Conformation: While highly adjustable, the saddle's base design tends to fit a majority of horses with a relatively standard, athletic build.

Horses with Changing Shapes: The steel spring tree's professional adjustability and the customizability of the wool-flocked panels make this saddle a good choice for young horses whose bodies are still developing, or any horse whose back shape changes with training or seasonally.

It is less ideal for extremely flat-backed or very wide, round horses without much wither, as the overall tree shape may not conform as well without significant modification. As always, a professional saddle fitting is essential to ensure the best possible fit for both horse and rider.

About

Deep Seat: The Roxanne is characterized by its contemporary deep seat, which is designed to keep the rider stable and secure over fences. It's suitable for both professional and amateur riders who appreciate a saddle that holds them in place.

Steel Spring Tree: Like all Stubben saddles, it's built on their famous steel spring tree. This tree is engineered to be flexible and move with the horse's back, providing shock absorption and durability. The tree's width (gullet size, measured in cm) can be professionally adjusted by a saddle fitter.

Broad Panels & Wide Channel: A key design feature of the Roxanne is its "new type of panel" with a large, direct contact surface. This is combined with a broader channel along the spine. This design aims to distribute the rider's weight over a larger area and provide high freedom of action for the horse's spine, enabling better performance over fences.

Distinct Knee and Calf Blocks: The saddle features prominent knee and calf blocks that provide excellent support for the rider's leg, helping to maintain a secure and correct position.

Wool Flocking: Most Stubben saddles, including the Roxanne, have wool-flocked panels. This allows a professional saddle fitter to make precise adjustments to the panels to ensure an optimal fit on the horse's back.
