The Trainers Endeavour is a high-performance jump saddle designed for riders who prioritize a close-contact feel with modern adjustability. It is built on the foundation of the popular Trainers Professional model but features several "pro-tier" upgrades to enhance horse comfort and rider security.
Key Features of the Endeavour
X-Change Gullet System: This is one of its most practical features, allowing you to change the tree width (from Narrow to Extra Wide) with a screwdriver. This makes it versatile if your horse changes shape through the seasons.
DPS (Double Protection System) Panels: These panels use a combination of memory foam and traditional flocking. This provides a soft, "living" interface that absorbs shock while still allowing for minor reflocking adjustments by a saddler.
Adjustable Blocks: It features Velcro-mounted thigh and knee blocks, which is a lifesaver for riders with longer legs or those who prefer a specific level of support for different fence heights.
Design: It sports a square cantle and a forward-cut flap, typical of a modern show-jumping profile.
Horse Conformation: Who does it fit best?
The Endeavour is generally considered a "middle-of-the-road" fit, but it leans toward a specific back profile:
| Feature | Best Fit For |
| Topline Shape | Straight to slightly curvy. It works well on horses with a relatively level back. It is not ideal for "dippy" or "sway-backed" horses, nor is it flat enough for very "table-top" cob types. |
| Wither Profile | Modern Sport Horses & TBs. The tree has a decent "head" (the arch over the wither), making it suitable for horses with average to high withers. It is a go-to for many Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods. |
| Shoulder Clearance | Broad Shoulders. The "wider channel" design of the Endeavour is specifically intended to clear the spine and allow the scapula (shoulder blade) to rotate freely without being pinched. |
| Ribcage Shape | A-frame to Oval. Because of the gullet system, it can accommodate a variety of widths, but the panel shape sits most comfortably on horses with a standard "athletic" ribcage rather than a barrel-shaped pony. |
